Sales / Customer Service Coordinator (IT Training)

ALC is one of Australia’s leading providers of IT and management training to business and government.  Our training courses are conducted throughout Australia, New Zealand and SE Asia and have a strong focus in IT Professional Development, Project Management and IT Cyber Security.  We have a vacant position in our Sales area in the Brisbane office.  This is an ideal opportunity for an enterprising person. You will work directly with the General Manager in a sales /customer service support role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Look after incoming queries – via phone and web – for our public and in-house courses
  • Maintain a very rigorous system for customer follow-up
  • Make outgoing calls
  • Convert queries into course bookings
  • Prepare quotations
  • Assist in preparation of proposals
  • Arrange appointments with prospective clients
  • Assist with marketing campaigns to customers
  • Represent ALC at conferences and exhibitions

  The right person will have the following attributes:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to communicate effectively with customers up to at least middle level management
  • Strong interest in Sales
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be accountable for individual results
  • Strive for ongoing personal and company improvement
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Well presented and spoken – must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Permanent resident of Australia

Previous sales / customer service experience, especially in the education / training industry, is desirable but not essential.  Full on-the-job training and mentoring will be provided to the right candidate.

Position is full time – Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm at our Taringa Office
Salary – $50,000K+
