Business Continuity and COVID-19
There is a lot of uncertainty around COVID-19. All organisations and individuals have to set their own approach concerning risk management and how they ensure their business continuity.
This document outlines four ways we are addressing business continuity at ALC in response to the COVID-19 situation. The world doesn’t have to stop. Training is essential if people and organisations are to progress, and we are here to continue to provide the first-class training that you are accustomed to receive from ALC.
Public Courses – Business As Usual
The government has announced a ban on all gatherings of 500 or more. Training classes are small (Maximum 16 participants per course)!
Our public course schedule remains unchanged and we are all geared for business as usual unless there is a government directive to the contrary.
Our training venues are all taking extra hygiene precautions, as you would expect. Seating is one person per table, with ample spacing. We are also requesting any participants to self-isolate if they fall into the relevant category.
So training courses will represent no different risk to attending your normal workplace or going shopping.
Virtual Attendance – the Next Best Thing
If classroom attendance is not an option for you, we have Virtual Attendance available for select courses. It’s not quite as good as being there, but it’s the next best thing! Most people are very pleasantly surprised.
All you need is a computer and a good internet connection. We have specially-configured classrooms tailor-made to accept delegates in person and to also allow people to join the class remotely – to be “virtually” there. Virtual Attendance is a well-established and proven delivery method. It is not like a webinar where you are a passive viewer. The technology is designed to allow you to be an active member of the class – to interact with other participants and with the instructor.

In-House Training – the training you need in an environment that you control
In-house training is a popular option. To make it even more cost effective we are currently offering special pricing for select courses. So even if you have a group as small as 3 or 4, in-house could well be a worthwhile option for you.
If you are concerned about attending a public course, but are not so keen on Virtual Attendance, then as long as you can pull together a small group, you can have the training your organsiation needs in an environment that you control yourself.

In the current situation we appreciate that individual circumstances can change more than in normal times. You can proceed to book your training with ALC with confidence because we offer a no-risk cancellation right up to the start of the course.
